Heroes 3

Heroes: The Ultimate Power, the third Heroes installment, is close to be released in theaters. The film, which opens on Wednesday, will be releasing into a whooping 4,500 theaters. Now hold that thought, sounds like it could be a new record.

Looking back in 2010, we saw The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third Twilight installment, released in 4,468 theaters, which currently hold the record for widest release ever, so the third Heroes installment is on track to put Twilight in danger for setting a new record.

Indeed, it could set a new Wednesday opening to Eclipse, which made $68 million. The Ultimate Power may crack about $180 million in five days. Although, the film will be burning demand on Friday-to-Sunday, due to the film opening on Wednesday.

Heroes: The Final Battle, the fourth and final installment, will be split into two films; in style of Harry Potter, Jane Hoop Elementary and Twilight. Part 1 is due by November 14, 2014. And Part 2 is due by July 17, 2015.

Emma Roberts, Zac Efron and Alex Pettyfer will be back.
